How To Volunteer

Our Volunteer Program  offers volunteer opportunities for students, teachers, professionals, and anyone with the desire to serve in a rural or urban places in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. It  is true that the Volunteer Program is not  for everyone. Programs for participants are not highly structured,  but  activities differ day to day.The Volunteers are encourage to spend their time familiarizing themselves  with the community by getting to know the people, and .the students they serve.

Those interested in participating should complete an application form. After you complete your application Sabu employees will work with you to identify projects that best fit your interests and goals for your trip. The processing time of all applications takes about four to eight business days. Results will  be send electronically by email. We do accept volunteers all year  round.

Your presence is valued and treasured and  we will work  with you to ensure that we provide you with the appropriate activities based on your interest  and we will do all we can to give you the assitance you need to make your trip fun and a lifetime experience.

Why do I pay to volunteer? The school communities we work with have limited resources and are unable to support the costs for food, shelter, transportation and supervision of volunteers. Your fees help to support  the teachers, students, improve the school infrastructure, instructional resources, and sustainable projects that will improve the Sabu International school organization. Sabu Volunteers are committed to the long-term self-sufficiency of each of our school communities.
