BE THE CHANGE IN HEALTHCARE

makeni-girl-v

Schools in both rural, and urban have no access to healthcares services, unsafe drinking water and lack of nutritious food. In 2006, SIS started a healthcare nursing program for our Junior High school students who are interested to pursue a medical career.

The goal is to empower our students to take active and leading role in improving the school health education and to help their school colleagues with minor cut, fever, and regular medical checks up.

The nursing course is two years and successful students will become school clinics nurses. When our students and our faculty members look at their community they see people.

Our students work to improve their community life, and social injustice. Today we are working on establishing our first clinic in Conakry Guinea West Africa.

Our Health care program

-train students to become school nurses

-set up school clinics

-build school water well with hagar water filters

-a garden/farm that provides notorious food for the school canteen

-advocate securing the school environment.
