“Over 38 million children are without basic education in sub Saharan Africa.”(UN).
Schools in the developing world are nothing but skeletons with no reading materials, much less broad band access to internet learning. Teachers in developing world are still tied to the traditional teaching (talk and chalk) system.
The slow response to educational reform does not only dehumanize indigenous people’s standard of living in that part of the world, but has also influenced uprisings and wars. Teachers Unions or organizations are a threat towards education reform and advancement.
HOW YOU CAN BUILD A SCHOOL
The cost to construct a rural school is sixteen thousand (16,000) dollars. The school is six classrooms a library, including desk, chairs, water well and is build on a land donated by the village.
How you can help?
- Build a school: $16,000
- Full-time SISF trained IT teacher: $3000 funds two years
- Donate One laptops per child
- Bookcase of books: $150 one-time cost
- Donate a desk top computer
- 3 solar panels to power a donated computer: $1,850 one-time cost
- Satellite and generator: $18,000 funds two years, $3,000 each additional year
- Motoman connection: $5,500 funds two years, $1,500 each additional year
